DeVine currently provides Numerical Weather Prediction Research and Weather model R&D services.
This includes:
- The integration of the new Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) capabilities (e.g., software, systems integration, and high performance computing) with automated systems for assessing risk and analyzing impact of atmospheric conditions on Navy/DoD operations and weapons system performance.
- The basic understanding of the behavior of the atmosphere and its constituents on local, regional, and global scales, including its interaction with the ocean, land, ice, and middle atmosphere
- The invention, prototype, and development of new capabilities and systems for objective environmental analysis and prediction
DeVine also conducts R&D Support in the development of Tropical Cyclone modeling in support of the Joint Typhoon Warning Center and the National Hurricane Center.
